Career for the Future Academy, under the Science and Technology Infrastructure Service Division (STIS) of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), successfully organized a 5-day English-language training course titled “Future-Ready Skills: Enhancing Technology and Innovation with Advanced Blockchain and AI Applications in Service Design”. The program, held from December 20-25, 2024, at the 6th floor of NSTDA Yothi Building, welcomed 18 esteemed faculty members and staff from the College of Science and Technology, Royal University of Bhutan. The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Adisorn Tuantranont, Assistant Director of NSTDA for Science and Technology Infrastructure Services.
This training aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI) for service design. It also served as a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences between experts and participants.
The program comprised two main tracks:
1. Advanced Blockchain
Participants explored foundational concepts, enterprise applications, data security, decentralized finance (DeFi), and case studies from Thailand and Southeast Asia. Delivered by renowned blockchain experts, the sessions were structured with lectures, case studies, and intensive hands-on workshops.

o Dr. Pasakorn Prathombut, Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA)

2. AI Applications in Service Design
This track emphasized service innovation, AI-driven platforms, and user-centered service design. Renowned AI experts facilitated engaging sessions, including:
o Dr. Chuchat Harichaiyasak, Ai9 Co., Ltd.
o The Artificial Intelligence Research Group (AINRG), NECTEC, led by Dr. Thepchai Suppanit, Dr. Krit Nasingkhun, Dr. Chaianan Damrongrat, and Mr. Vasan Na-Chai.
During the intensive 5-day program, participants engaged in rigorous theoretical and practical sessions, equipping them with skills to lead innovation and navigate the digital transformation era.
This initiative also strengthened the longstanding friendship between Thailand and Bhutan, which share close ties at the royal, governmental, and people-to-people levels. It underscored NSTDA’s commitment to advancing technological skills and innovation in the region.
